Sporty elegance with the signature of Grginić Yachts

Launched back in 2014, the Mirakul 40 is a model by Croatian builder with a Zagreb address, Grginić Yachts, a huge leap for them when compared to their previous model, the much smaller Mirakul 30.

What’s new with the Mirakul 40 facelift?

Now, exactly ten years after the debut and with more than 50 units built – many of which for foreign buyers – Mirakul 40, this 12-meter sports yacht with a spacious cockpit and interior is getting a facelift.

With her massive hull, now even more striking, with black line on the sides accenting the windows, a sharp sports bow and a prominent superstructure, the new Mirakul 40 maintains the classic spirit of a sports cruiser that is increasingly rare on the market today.

However, you will hardly see two identical units on the water, because although all Mirakul 40s are basically built the same, the builder made her a semi-custom model, where the choice of colors, materials and fabrics inside and outside is left to the owner.

Exterior highlights: From extended stern to expansive sundeck

Astern, we were welcomed aboard by a spacious, extended stern platform available as fixed or equipped with a hydraulic lift, capable of turning into a large private beach or a tender or jet ski parking spot.

Farther inside, in of the wide cockpit there is a tender garage, on top of which lies a spacious sundeck with a sliding backrest.

Wide side passages around this sundeck lead safely to the center of the cockpit, with an outdoor kitchen with a sink, refrigerator and gas stove on the starboard side, while the entire port side of the cockpit is taken by a C-shaped and the adjacent spacious dining table that lowers and turns into and extra deck chair, all housed under the glass cockpit roof.

The front part of the roof opens to allow fresh marine air and sunlight into the cockpit, so the skipper enjoys the same feeling as the guests. The command post and the skipper’s chair are raised, starboard. The command post enjoys good visibility, thanks to the large single-panel windshield and spacious cockpit side windows with practical openings, and boasts a sporty leather steering wheel.

The command console is massive, with plenty of space for installing all the custom instruments. Starboard, on a separate console, there is room for the throttle levers and a Volvo joystick for maneuvering, if the owner chooses the Volvo IPS.

On the bow, the new Mirakul 40 offers plenty of space on the spacious sundeck, and the side aisles are pleasantly wide. The interior is divided into a salon with a sofa next to a dining table that can be converted into an additional double bed, a small galley with a refrigerator, gas stove and sink, a bathroom and three spacious cabins.

Spacious cabins and custom choices

The master in the bow boasts standing height in every part of it, and is furnished with an elevated double bed in the very top of the bow, while the other two cabins, located in the stern, are equipped with spacious double beds.

As with the exterior, the customer can choose all the interior materials, and the builder Grginić Yachts offer a diverse choice of engines for Mirakul 40, as well, while the standard model is powered by two 270HP Volvo Penta engines.

Performance and handling

Since the model is available exclusively with stern drive, all versions sparkle with sporty enthusiasm and boast excellent maneuverability. Mirakul 40 is capable of sharp turns in tight spots, and leans like a sport yacht, but not in a dangerous or uncomfortable way. The model reaches top speed of 37 knots, and the performance varies depending on the engine options.

Mirakul 40 cruising

The optimal cruising speed we achieved on our test unit, with two 300 HP Volvo Penta D4-300A engines was 28 knots and with a consumption of about 95 liters per hour, while at 22 knots the consumption drops to 72 liters per hour.
