Ice Yachts Revealed
With Hot Lab Design
Of the four projects revealed by the young and dynamic design team at Hot Lab in Monaco, the largest was a collaboration with Ice Yachts, a new enterprise that sees input from the AES shipyard based in Istanbul, Turkey and CCN Investment Holding, a major Turkish corporation with interests in diversified fields of commerce. The yacht unveiled, currently under construction, is a full custom 68 m under the project name ‘MY Days’ with a scheduled delivery in the first half of 2018. The joint venture works together with Hot Lab for the interior and exterior design in order to create a brand new project for a private client and a range of yachts up to 75 m, while naval architecture is supplied by Endaze Marine Engineering. The project management for the client’s side is carried out by Mr. Jacques Potgieter and Mr. Iain Flockhart. With their extensive sea going and operational management experience in the industry, their input is vital to ensure that the vessel is being built to an acceptable industry standard and that it would be functional, safe and cost effective to operate and maintain. This was made easy by them being involved in the preliminary stages of the project more than six months before any steel was cut.
From the early information available we know that MY Days will boast and impressive internal volume of more than 1,800 GRT, offer 2.70 m internal deckheads 2.70 m, 9 m and 8 m tenders in the garage, a huge beach club and a helipad the foredeck. Also, great attention has been paid to the owner’s privacy, with private access to sky-lounge and the business meeting room direct from both outside and their own staterooms. MY Days will accommodate twelve guests, including the owner’s entire upper deck with a spacious forward cabin. From the renderings we see the apartment like ambience is created by the use of large continuous full height windows all around, two large walk in wardrobe, two generous en suite bathrooms, a gym and a massage room are also present. The guest area is on the main deck with three big VIP cabins, one guest cabin with single beds and an additional supernumerary cabin. All guest cabins are equipped with en-suite bathrooms and a walking closet. Generous crew accommodation is provided for up to 18 crew in the lower deck, plus Captain’s cabin on the Bridge Deck. The yacht comprises five decks and the 13 m beam contributes to the impressive 1,800 GRT internal volume. The estimated delivery time of the project is the first half of 2018, for the vessel to be presented in Monaco in 2018.
