The striking double deck window that plunges down the amidships of Admiral 164 MY Ouranos yacht certainly makes her distinctive, but what sets this yacht aside in a busy sector of the charter market? We spoke to designer and build Captain to find out just that…

Ouranos yacht represents another major achievement for Admiral brand of the Italian Sea Group. Considered one of the most silent yachts afloat powered by traditional engines and below 500 GT, this 164’ yacht from the C Force collection is constructed on a full displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure that follows lines penned by Jure Bukavec from Uniellé Yacht Design.

The huge glazed sections from the interior of the main salon enhance the spacious ambience engendered by the contemporary interior design

Speaking proudly of his creation, Bukavec told us: ‘The C Force 50 ‘Ouranos’ follows the Admiral C Force fleet exterior styling concept. Modern and aggressive lines are emphasized by the ‘Ouranos’ black and white simplicity. I believe we have succeeded in effectively solving the challenge of designing a 50 m yacht with under 500 gross tonnage with a clean styling solution, it demonstrates that the challenges of a design limitation can sometimes lead to a more innovative result.’
Bukavec enthusiastically continued: ‘Obviously one of the most notable features of the C Force fleet is the double high central window. There are several design variations of it including one with a balcony. The main idea is to bring more light into the main and upper deck salon. In this way, we create a penthouse style interior ambiance.

The interiors of the Ouranos yacht really create a new way for luxury, never too lavish but very refined

Seen from the exterior, the window is a straight vertical cut which doesn’t interrupt the exterior lines.’ Ouranos’ captain, Theodore Goulas, was heavily involved in her build, working together with the IYC project management team to ensure an end-result that ensured the delight of the yacht’s happy owner.
‘It is very exciting to see Ouranos yacht on the water because she is such a unique project. From the beginning we wanted the boat to be modern and classic and for people to recognize her wherever she goes’, says Goulas.

The striking and aggressive lines of Ouranos’ distinctive design will undoubtedly make her stand out in any bay anchorage or crowded marina. Her contemporary interior, created by Arch. Gian Marco Campanino in collaboration with the Admiral Centro Stile, epitomizes the feeling of ‘less is more’.

The stand out design feature on the Admiral Ouranos is obviously the full headroom windows that run between both saloons, offering incredible uninterrupted views, while all guest decks are connected with an elevator, allowing easy access across all spaces.

Communal areas include two large saloons and the main and upper deck. Twelve guests are accommodated in the utmost comfort in the six cabins that include a huge master suite and three VIPs. For additional guest comfort the yacht features ‘at anchor stabilizers’ which work at zero speed, increasing onboard stability at anchor and on rough waters.
Designed to be able to explore the world, Ouranos yacht is capable of Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic crossing with a range of 6.000 nm at 11-knots. Multiple exterior spaces include a huge open beach club terrace aft, incorporating a wellness hub that is home to a gym and massage area, with Jacuzzi on the sundeck.
