Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has revealed the interior of ‘Mat,’ the second Flexplorer 146 explorer yacht, showcasing a distinct vision from its predecessor. Through significant divergences from ‘Maverick’ in layout, equipment, and accommodations, ‘Mat’ achieves a new level of luxury yacht experience, while retaining the series’ core explorer DNA. This highlights CDM’s dedication to bespoke craftsmanship and the Flexplorer 146’s remarkable adaptability, proving its ability to translate individual owner preferences into a tangible, luxurious reality.
While embodying the CDM Flexplorer 146’s robust explorer ethos, ‘Mat’ distinguishes itself with a more refined silhouette. The removal of a deck creates a sleeker profile, a significant visual departure from ‘Maverick.’ Notably, ‘Mat’ also deviates from the series’ established design by omitting the signature A-frame crane, previously seen on ‘Aurelia’ and ‘Maverick,’ marking a deliberate evolution in the Flexplorer aesthetic.
‘Mat’ prioritizes seamless functionality and luxurious living. Its owner chose the ‘invisible crane,’ a signature feature from CDM’s RJ series, to handle tenders and toys. This system, integrated into the sun deck overhang, allows for effortless launching and retrieval, while the aft deck, with its collapsible bulwarks, transforms into an expansive leisure space.
The yacht’s design, a collaboration between Hydro Tec’s naval architecture and engineering and Nauta Design’s elegant interiors, ensures both performance and comfort. With 482 GT, ‘Mat0 accommodates up to ten guests in well-appointed spaces, managed by a crew of nine.
The full-beam master suite, forward on the main deck, is a sanctuary of light and privacy, featuring a private studio, walk-in closet, and expansive hull windows that frame breathtaking seascapes. The main deck’s flowing layout includes a pantry, day head, and a sculptural staircase connecting all levels.
Aft, the professional-grade galley, complete with a double dishwasher and restaurant-standard oven, ensures culinary excellence. A dumbwaiter facilitates effortless service across the bridge and sun decks. Below, four en-suite guest cabins, bathed in natural light, offer luxurious comfort.
The lower deck also houses crew quarters and technical spaces, strategically placed for minimal noise disruption. Aft, a beach club and garage, equipped with gym equipment and ample storage, extend the yacht’s leisure capabilities. The bridge deck, featuring the wheelhouse and captain’s cabin, also boasts a formal dining area with panoramic views, and an expansive exterior space perfect for al fresco dining and socializing.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, the 44.46-meter yacht achieves a top speed of 15.4 knots and a 5,000+ nautical mile range at 10 knots.
